The fate of the two cars of the Positive SimRacing Driver Development Programme, powered by Virtual Racing School, was very different in the Barber Motorsports Park. Javi Utreras couldn't make the qualifying session with the Mercedes car (DDP-A, Green) and he started from P31 in the grid. On the other hand, Roy Kolbe clinched the pole position for the BMW DDP-B (Orange). Javi, with the car#1, had to manage with a very heavy traffic in the first laps, gaining up to 11 positions. However, he couldn't avoid an incident that finished his race in the very first laps. Nick Rowland made the first stint with the BMW, leading all the laps until the pit stop. Then, Roy Kolbe would take the car until the finish line, securing a brilliant victory for the team.
