This was one of the most intense races for UI1-Positive SimRacing until now. Again, the Qualify session was not at the expected level, with our three drivers starting in positions 25 (Steve), 26 (Ricardo) and 29 (Daniel). This always implies a big risk; and Ricardo, as other drivers, couldn’t do anything to avoid the big incident that took place in the straight. Daniel and Steve had a better luck, and could race with a good car, gaining 8 and 12 positions, respectively, during the race.

Steve exhibited a great pace and he chose a smart strategy, avoiding traffic and overtaking rivals. He was progressively closing the gap to the top 10, and finished only 1.5 sec. of P12. Daniel could also finish better, but some damages in the car generated extra fuel consumption, preventing him of pushing in the final laps.

Steve’s P13 is the historical best result of the team in the series, but we are happy because the pace and strategy is proving to be good to clinch better results if we improve the Qualify. We are already working on that and we hope to keep delivering better results in the future.
