Javi Utreras and Roy Kolbe represented the team in the ADAC GT 500 race that took part in the SimRacing Expo 2018. This was the first participation of the team in an on-site competition, and our main goal was to learn and enjoy as much as possible. And we did it!
Roy struggled with the configuration of the rig, and that was reflected in a complicated first stint. Later, Javi completed the race with a better adaptation to the rig, but still with some problems. Javi recovered a lot of time with the precedent cars, and made some good overtakes. Our final position was not what we expected (P25), but we took good notes for the future.
Beyond the competition, this was an excellent opportunity to have a meeting among team members coming from USA, Germany, The Netherlands, Italy, and Spain. We took the opportunity to attend to a historic F1 exhibition at Spa-Francorchamps, and the BlancPain Series weekend in Nürburgring.
Javier Álvarez, Positive SimRacing CEO: “These were really good days for all of us, and it was a pleasure to meet people from other teams and the sim racing world, in general. We are already thinking in the next one!”
