This weekend, our team has received the trophy as champion of the first edition of the Porsche eSports Carrera Cup in Brazil, organised by Iracing Brazil. The event took place in the podium of the historical track of Interlagos, which has been the scenario of unforgettable races, including the proclamation of several F1 world champions.

The event took place during the event of the Porsche Carrera Cup Brazil, which was also the sponsor of the eSports event. This same day, Porsche was celebrating another world event in Europe, becoming one of the motorsports companies giving more importance to the sim racing. In this occasion, the event had also the support of the CBA (Confederação Brasileira de Automobilismo), which joins the number of pioneering institutions that are taking advantage of the impact of the eSports to promote their activities and competitions.
The sim racing version of the Porsche Carrera Cup Brazil had two qualifying races to select the top 40 cars (with 2 drivers per car). The race lengths were 70 laps to the Autodromo Jose Carlos Pace in the iRacing platform, with a compulsory change of driver during the race. The final race length was also 70 laps to the same track, involving the top 30 teams and with a broadcast in two languages (English and Portuguese).
The UI1-Positive SimRacing team proved to be a strong candidate since the start of the competition. Our car started in P2 the qualifying race, and was the winner of that race, although with only one second after almost 2 hours of racing. In the final race, our car started in P3, but after a good management of strategy and consistency, our drivers Adaildo Vieira and Renan Azeredo took the victory. This was, in fact, a historical victory because it is the first time that an eSports event of such magnitude is organised in South America.
