P5, and a race victory in our fantastic first participation in a RallyCross World Championship

The iRacing Rally Cross World Championship 2019 has concluded as a historic championship for our team. We started the journey in Rally Cross just one year ago, this being a new discipline for us. A few months later, we got two of our drivers, Otto Taskinen and Dani Mitrani, among the top 26 in the world, taking part for the first time in an iRacing Cross World Rally Championship. We were conservative in our goals, and none of our drivers was even considered as potential candidate for ‘rookie of the year’.
However, we soon proved that we could play a role in the championship, with very good qualifying sessions from our driver Otto Taskinen. He finished in a 4th place in the second round and clinched a fantastic victory in the fourth round of the championship. Dani also did it into the top 10 of each round, racing in the final featured race.
The victory in a world championship race on October 26th, 2019 certainly implied a milestone in the team’s history. But, beyond that day, the good role played throughout the championship was the key to position our team as one of the most recognized teams of the world in this discipline.

The championship has been characterized by a very intense calendar, with no room for relax in 9 rounds during 9 consecutive weeks. Lacking in previous experience, we relied on teamwork, which has allowed us not only to maintain our good results, but also to help Otto to climb in the overall standings every week.
The last round has had a very good final for us. Despite the problems in the standings, Otto and Dani were able to finish first and second in the consolation race, and thus enter the final race that closed the championship. We couldn't finish better than having the two cars on track and Otto taking the fifth place in the World Championship standings. He also finished with a more than 150 points gap over the second rookie, which gives an idea of the value of his result. Dani finished in 13th, which is also very valuable for his first world championship. The Spaniard played a decisive role in the preparation of the races and in the overall results of the team.

It's been a 9 week of a very intense job, particularly because the two drivers came from a previous 12 weeks competition in qualifiers. Now it's time to plan for the next year. Otto has a secure place at the next world championship, because he has finished in the top 10. Dani will need to take part in the qualifying series, now with more experience and confidence. This is a competition of an extreme difficulty, and we are aware that we need to work very hard. However, we trust in our work and possibilities, and other 3 drivers are already working with the goal of making our team shine again in the next World Championship.
