PSR reaches another World Championship with Jeff Giassi in P2 in the Porsche Esports Supercar

We are back with the final qualifying rounds of this second edition of the Porsche Esports Supercup, where we have seen the performance of thousands of the best virtual drivers over the world.

The qualifiers will concludes on March 2, where our driver, Jeff Giassi, winner of the Porsche eSports Carrera Cup in Brazil, is racing an incredible season with important victories behind him, leading the championship last week, now Jeff is in P2 only one week to the end of the qualifiers. This is an incredible result, considering that this championship has an amazing field.

Jeff Giassi told us his impressions about the championship:

"I'm feeling really happy the way things are going, for sure, being inside the top 20 was my main goal since early 2019 when I started practicing.”

“I knew it would be very hard so I had no excuse to be in my fullest potential even months before the competition started, what I did not expected however, is that my effort would pay off so much that I happened to be leading the championship throughout round nine and ten, with huge expectations to finish the season inside the top 5 and maybe a top 3.”

“Even considering that by my calculations it will be very hard to keep up leading the championship, I can't say that I could be more happy than I am right now with a seat in the 2020 Porsche eSports Supercup already being secured four weeks prior to the end of the qualifiers."

Javier Álvarez Benedí, Sports Director of the UI1-PSR (Positive SimRacing) team, has been telling us his opinion about this achievement:

"Jeff has done a fantastic job! Completing one of the most brilliant performances I have ever seen in the team. From the team's perspective, we are extremely happy to reach another World Championship by own our merits.”

“This will be our seventh World championship, after two seasons in the Formula Sim Racing World Championship (2013 and 2014), the last three seasons of the iRacing World Championship Grand Prix Series (2016 – 2018), and the 2019 iRacing World Championship Rally Cross Series. This is something that only very few teams can have, and I am honored to be part of it. “

“Thanks to Jeff and to all the fantastic teammates!"
